If you forget the password to the Enterprise Manager console, or if your password does not work, you will need to edit the file that retains the encrypted password information. To do this, do the following:
•§ In Windows Services, stop the Bitdefender Server service.
•§ Go to C:\Program Files\Softwin\Bitdefender Enterprise Manager\Bitdefender Server. Open the file named bdesvr.ini.
•§ You will see an item named ‘Encrypted Password'; across from this, you will see a = sign, and a string of numbers. Delete this string of numbers, following the = sign.
•§ Save and close the file.
•§ Open Windows Services and start the Bitdefender Server service.
•§ Open the Enterprise Management console. When prompted for a password, leave the field blank.
•§ You can then get into the console, and reset your password.
